The Raya festive mode is on at full mode now that it is Raya time and Park Royal’s Chatz Brasserie’s Ramadan Buffet is one that’s worthy of applaud. Being there when it’s so close to Raya and having seen how their buffet spread is so well executed for swarming guests during break fasting, I was very delighted and at the same time impressed. Highlighting the array of porridges this year, I wouldn’t have known of the existence of the variety if it weren’t for this buffet. From sweet ones to the savoury, there is definitely one that fits your palate.
And reminiscing the authentic flavour of Malay cooking, things like Pajeri Nenas, Udang Goreng Kunyit Bawang, Sotong Sambal Petai, Ayam Masak Cili Madu, Siput Sedut Gulai Keladi Peradin, and Kurma Kerabu are all served warm and neat, making dining pretty pleasant despite the overwhelming crowd.
My favourite corner is the Kerab and to name a few, there is the Kerabu Pucuk Paku, Kerabut Ikan Bilis, Umai Ikan, Kerabut Perut, Kerabu Pegaga, Kerabu Jantung Pisang, Kerabu Mangga Muda, Kerabut Nangka Sambal Kelapa, Kerabu Ayam Daun Kesom, Kerabu Rebung, Acar Timun Tumis, Rojak, and many more.
That’s really not the only impressive part, because their live cooking station doesn’t get anymore closer to you than it already has. Satay booth fire up thick smoke in no time, and fresh satay is flowing swift and consistently.
There are a lot of actions going on at all their live booths but the varieties were somewhat overwhelming it is really difficult to pick and try to not overeat. Both indoor and outdoor live kitchens are doing great jobs keeping up with the flow.
End the feast with something sweet and sink your teeth into choices of Melayu Kuihs, fresh fruits, ice kacang, sweet dessert soups, ice creams and more.
