Guinness Flavour By Fire 2023- Masterclass with Chef Sherson

Showing food and brews the respect they both deserve was exactly what happened at the recent Masterclass with Chef Shearson Liam at Makhan by Kitchen Mafia recently. The Guinness Flavour By Fire returns with a bigger line-up of renowned chefs to fire up the flavours of Guinness-infused flame-cooked foods to entice your taste buds. Happening this 18th – 20th August at Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur, and 2nd – 3rd September at Fort Cornwallis, Penang, the festive celebrates both flame and infusion. From meats to fish, artisanal burgers, and irresistible Guinness-infused desserts along with the very rich and creamy cold Draught , as well as live performances and exciting games and prizes , I am just thrilled to have these food festivals back in town again after a long hiatus from the pandemic. I’ve tasted some awesome grills at the Masterclass and learnt more about Maillard reaction with Guinness and how fire roasted barleys boasts a distinctive and unique taste and aroma. We sampled different meat cuts and were served a lovely lunch pairing with none other than Guinness, and ending the meal and occasion with amazing flourless cake and some joy from all the good vibe.

Sometimes, the perfect cookout celebrates not only the best meats pairing equal rich stout, it’s about the fire that gathers people together. and according to Marketing Manager – Wheat Beer, Stout & Diageo Brands at HEINEKEN Malaysia, Shaun Lim, “Guinness has a sensational depth of flavours that chefs know how to appreciate, and that drinkers can’t resist. As people are constantly on the lookout for fresh, conversation-worthy food adventures, our festival is the perfect occasion for fans and foodies alike to come together and indulge in an authentic Guinness experience you won’t find anywhere else”.
