Bakso Monster the Fattest Bakso in Town @ Bangsar

 

We don’t have that great bakso variant like those in Indonesia but Bakso Monster in Bangsar is serving us gigantic serving size at such fantastic pricing. While bakso is traditionally sold on the street by travelling vendors in Indonesia, Bakso Monster here takes over Jan’s outlet to serve not only delicious monster sized meals, but comfy ambiance as well.

 

 

Sure there is nothing exotic about this location, with tons of cafes and eateries popping up every now and then. Bangsar has always been upscale and expensive, but the authentic Indonesian cooking steals the show. Menu as such is rare, just a choice of four to six dishes. And at this pricing, a ten ringgit will comfortably feed one pax. These homemade Bakso with any choice of noodle and soup cost RM 9.90. Pick from either glass noodle, yellow noodle or horse fun noodle, to go with either clear soup, sup tulang, or tomyam.

 

 

There is option to add on Bakso (RM 7) or noodle (RM 2) as well as vegetables (RM 2)or kerupuk pangsit (RM 3) but be rest assured that additional bakso isn’t necessary. And those fiery hot and spicy chili sauces and sambal, they are to die for.

 

 

After those Monster meatballs and Monster beverages, sweet finishing should be regular sized so I went with the small serving of Monster Murtabak (RM 6) but it wasn’t as satisfying as the monster bakso, not because of the serving size but the taste. Let’s just say that desserts are not their forte.

 

 

Both food and beverage menu fit in a single page on their menu, and those monster specialty are crazy huge. They mean it monster when it’s called monster.

 

 

Both Monster Tea (RM 3.50) and Monster Teh Tarik (RM 5.50) are jumbo sized. It is a lot more obvious on video so watch it on my snap chat (@sycookies )- they were HUGE.
