Leng Kee (Claypot) and Bah Kut Teh Center and the humble Porride Stall adjacent to the restaurant works perfectly well as a duo combo and provides some of the most comforting indulgence especially when they serve till late hours at night. When the sun goes down, the area is instantly filled with the night crowd. With tables and chairs set up by the road side, and stoves firing up with boiling pots of broths, soups, porridges, the place is very soon filled with patrons and it only gets busier as the night goes along.

At the porridge stall, temperature spikes up a little with every bowl of porridge cooked and made to order accordingly to the ingredients in each type of porridge. Available daily are fish porridge, chicken porridge, pork porridge, and side orders like yau char kuey, century egg, or raw fish to top up your porridge; all of which comes in sizes and costs no more than RM 5.

Despite being a remedy for when you are sick, this comforting food can be very appetizing. Steamed chicken appeared to be a companion net to yau char kuey when it comes to these silky smooth porridges. A bowl of fresh porridge is flavour up with their fresh ingredients and that additional chicken can help fill you up if the fluffy texture of porridge doesn’t satisfy the hunger.

Moving to those piping claypots, they are served with optional offal choices, as well as mushrooms and porks. The aromatic herbs and savoury pork bones are consistent, and is surprisingly a wonderful pair when eating it with those bowls of steamy soft porridge. But if that is too much liquid in one meal, lets 1ust g6 with their rice. It is a pity only white rice is being served but its all good, especially when we can enjoy it with add on dishes like assorted vegetables, some extra meat and tofu pok, and best of all, and a must when it comes to bah kut teh, those finely chopped garlic!
