The Bacon and Brews @ Damansara Uptown

 

The Bacon and Brews at Damansara Uptown is the place for bacon lovers to enjoy a dining experience of incomparable creativity and effort. The Bacon and Brews desserts are considerably the cafe flagship. Ordering it could be a little tedious knowing it is going to be a huge sharing portion. Step one is to decide between the crispy waffle (3pcs), liege Belgium Waffle (3pcs), and what we have chosen here, the Shibuya Honey Toast. (Yes, this is the period of the time where I crave honey toast very much.) Step 2 isn’t easy too, but I saved all the trouble doing any thinking at all and went for the Signature Maple Bacon and Rum soak raisin. It said this is a must try serving of house made rum and raisin gelatin and candied bacon gelatin served with beautiful candied bacon, rum soak raisin, drilled with golden maple syrup, and topped with candied bacon bits, butter crumble and chocolate cake crumble.

 

 

The main course at the Bacon and Brew is one to cherish as well. Prepared with plenty of creativity, we’ll see a flair of contemporary fusion like the Cheesy Kimchi Rice in spicy or extra spicy (RM 19.90 ) and Tonkatsu Seared Salmon 135g (RM 29.90 ) with sweet and sour Tonkatsu sauce on top of a bed of garlic mash and accompanied with toasted garlic herbs bread, as well as fresh salad.

 

 

The highlight is the this modern style of Kimchi rice served with melted mozzarella cheese, accompanied with quilted egg and grilled spicy marinated BBQ pork belly. The generous portion of melted mozzarella enclosed in the fried rice is making this a real excitement as we dig into the strings of pulling cheese.

 

 

Serving premium Gryphon Tea (RM 9.90) with wide choices of selection, tea lovers will easily find something decent to wash away relenting oil if there is any. And of course when there is Osmanthus, selecting my tea becomes easy.
