Currently in Thailand when drafting this particular post just makes it worst to have to describe my experience with Absolute Thai street food in Midvalley megamall. If I must put it bluntly, then the simplest and most accurate description is probably localised. All our order, including the drink, of which one of it is sold as the Thai coconut (RM 7), totally fail to live up to their reputation. Absolute Thai has been serving street food with comfortable indoor seating, mostly inside malls, but the eatery still qualifies as street food given the array of most popular and renown Thai street dishes. One of which is the Thai Chicken Porridge (RM 11.90) and the Beef Noodle (RM 15.90). Which turns out would be a delight to most Malaysians. Seasoning and taste profile are closely tied to the local palate so for those eager to satisfy the Thai street food cravings, I’d recommend skipping this one.

Lemon Grass (RM 4.90) drink weirdly has a wedge of lime and this one totally reminded me of our local limau ais. Safest order is probably the omelette but take note it isn’t a sharing portion.

In Thailand, even if you don’t know where to look, there’s still a high chance to stumble upon treasure. While Bangkok’s street food already claiming their throne to be legendary, with critics and bloggers from all over the world dropping reviews and praises, there is indeed something magical about their cuisine that seemed familiar to most of us in Malaysia but yet still never fails to create a little bit of surprises each time. I am hoping that there will be more Thai restaurants in Klang Valley that could give us the same surprises.
