The Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie has obviously earned some reputation since years back, and even so have also opened other Boulangaries namely the Shakespeare Boulangerie & Patisserie in SS 15. This one did great with the large space with lots of greens surrounding the café outdoor and high ceilings inside the café.
Pesce Piccante Pasta is not something I would usually go for when visiting Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie. Nevertheless, it surprises me with the fresh ingredient and the great texture of the pasta. The chef must be really good with the timing for this pasta although I do not think that they make their own pasta.
At the same time, the Seafood Aglio Olio is also great not only on the texture, but the taste as well. The seafood in the pasta is really fresh, thus making ordinary pasta tasting extraordinarily great.
Simple meals are great in the Levain. The starter soup is palatable and they also have quite an extensive range of cake desserts. The pastries and bakery is remarkably enjoyable with the many choices that are freshly baked every day.
The buns and pastries are not only fresh and delicious, they are also really creative. Choco Crunch is this really cute chocolate bun with a really cute appearance. So much fresher than their sister; Ficelle and Shakespeare Boulangerie.
Try eating that with a cup of hot Jasmine Green Tea or Ice Caffe Latte. It is perfectly compatible especially with the amazing trees around the garden area. Except that it is always pack, this place is magnificent for a quiet afternoon meal.

The buns are so pretty hoh. But I’ve not tried before T_T
Only had their macarons once. Which is not bad I felt.
Mel, their bun not bad. The ambience is lovely. But with the haze now…..
Is the crowded getting lesser here as there are 2 more similar outlets?
Same old.. Mostly the nearby crowd. The pastry here is still the best. The other two is somewhat poorly managed.
i’ve seen so many reviews on this but never been there yet…
Can check them out when nearby, but it’s not to the extend you’ll have to make a trip there. Consider the traffic condition. :s
the baguettes look nice. i could imagine munching on them and enjoying them. i do wish this outlet served wine though, cos this would be an ideal place to sip on something while savoring the setting 😀
I agree…
