All the way in Manila, we have a different menu of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Love by many, they specialized in chicken dishes with their famous original recipe and have since then evolved and came out with a range of varieties which is selling fantastic and overwhelming the local fans. In Malaysia, there is the Hot and Spicy, and recently the chicken rice as well. And speaking of rice, Manila has their version of rice as well.
It was served wrapped like a burger. I would say that’s indeed quite some portion of rice.
The NBA fully loaded meal is wholesomely loaded with chicken, rice, soup, salad and brownie for dessert. Also accompanying the set is a drink and the limited edition NBA Tumbler and NBA playing cards. Something worth collecting for fans of NBA.
The meal cost 225 peso and that is approximately RM 15 and was rather reasonable given complete range in a box. The salad is something different and worth checking out whenever in this city. There is this shell pasta mayo with a tiny bit of pickled vegetables in it.
The soup was really ordinary but I am quite happy to see some mushroom chunks in it. The soup was served hot so it was comforting. The soup was fine but the combination of creamy mushroom soup and white rice slightly puzzled me a little.
The brownie was not fabulous but decently good enough as a dessert. That was not what I fancy most; instead the hygiene practice in the KFC outlet was what impresses me most. The utensils are self serviced and there is piping hot water whereby we could clean our utensils. Also, they serve free distilled water to dinners.
And like most fast food chains, the place is certainly neat and tidy. And like I always said, there is always a little surprise in these fast food chains at different countries. Do walk into one or two whenever you travel and fascinate your palate with something different.
The ultimate goal here is to get hands on to the limited edition NBA freebies in which I am going to be rewarding my readers. Open to all readers in the South East Asia, if you are a fan of NBA this is a must to add to your collections. Winner would be announced on Foodeverywhere Facebook page . All you have to do is share the photo on your facebook page and stand a chance to win this. (Click on photo to direct to *contest page)
