This October celebrates the Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) with their funky theme this year – the Red Hot Chefs. Participating restaurants and hotels represented by their own red hot chefs host their specially crafted menu showcasing the best of skills and recipe.
Food enthusiasts from around Malaysia are offered this amusing opportunity to experience the best line up of beautiful and extensive choices of the finest and most passionate creation of flavours. Taste MIGF Gala Launch took place last month at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre with participating restaurants embracing the festive celebration with sample bite sizes for guests of the night.
The venue filled with music and entertainers, and waiters serving endless flow amuse-bouches accompanied by complementing drinks served to offer a glimpse of the gourmet festive. This year, tasting at participating booths required Gourmet Dollar; somewhat like cash vouchers pre-purchased prior to the gala night.
Established as the pinnacle of gastronomic, this festive has become a culinary milestone on the Malaysian calendar proffering specially created Festival Menus abounding with creativity. Each participating restaurants, all 28 of them was exquisitely decorated with displays of food, ingredients, artwork, candles and more in styles that reflected the concept and character of their restaurant.
Under the sea of confetti, with Dato’ Steve (Organizing Chairman) and Tunku Naquiyuddin Tuanku Ja’afar (Royal Patron) on stage, the festival was officially declared open. And that kick started the night’s gastronomical journey filled with a lot of complex flavours as well as mysterious textures that triggered and intrigue a lot of inspiration for food lovers. Intense and scrumptious taste flows freely on the floor with every participating representatives bringing the best of showmanship and services with eye catching stilt walkers in funky culinary costumes entertaining all who attends the night’s gala.
From mini wagyu burgers, blow-torched tuna, French snails and pan-seared tiger prawns, to lamb bah kut teh, the spotlight of the night also includes the Spanking new Jaguar F-Type Coupe.
