Cooling treats already made icy impact on Klang Valley’s dessert parlors and Softsrve Ice Cream & Dessert Bar at Damansara Uptown is part of the trend setting initiator. It seems to me this fluffy soft ice cream craze is here to stay for good- it was packed at 8pm when I visited.
Trying out the classic cereal milk softserve series, where they cleverly soaked cereal into milk before churning into softserve to produce that familiar fragrant you’ll take awhile to recall before figuring out that it came from cereal. Or, you can simple read this on their menu except that one is probably too busy being intimidated by the amount of choices on this series alone. A modern interpretation of the mini parfait here showcases Honey Matcha (RM 16), with a swirl of your honey match soft serve made into royalty with addition of Royce’ R cholate, and Royce’ baton cookies. Dig in and you’ll find cubes of milk jelly and yogurt espuma, and at the same time made beautiful with the black sesame crumble lining the swirl.
Churros Oolong (RM 12) obviously comes with churros still warm and crunchy when serve on our soft served ice cream.
Something a little more solid would be the Crispy and Fluffy Waffle (RM 15) which by the way isn’t the best waffle ever but managed to redeemed its reputation with none other than their soft serve and sauce of your choice (in this case is match sauce since WendLi , the matcha queen is one of the partner in crime this time around). This one is served with chopped nuts and berries.
Fluffly (RM 10) turned out obviously as per named, with a big afro of cotton candy over your swirl of soft serve and sprinkled with Himalayan rock salt to enticed the tongue for tinges of saltiness when salt meets the saliva in the midst of cottony sweet.
Underneath this one, we went with their pleasant textured creamy finishing of deep chocolate. Dark bitterness would please the chocolate fan but compared to the cereal selection, lack an apparent fragrant of cereal aroma.
