The Hub @ Taman OUG first won loyal followers for its beautiful beans from all over as well as its expert brewing. On top of house blends, beans sourced from all over the world were perfectly brewed. More than just a café, the aroma of coffee at this creative caffeinated community is improbably a lovely spot to sip and enjoy both the rich flavour of coffee without without crema. This is the perfect place if you’re looking for coffee or even cakes, but if seeking posh Sunday brunch or selection of healthy breakfast, the Hub could be a letdown. Their newly launched single page, all day breakfast covers the usual eggs. The Hub Benedict (RM 20) serves poached eggs served with sautéed spinach, smoked chicken ham, hollandaise sauce, waffles and salad of the day tossed with balsamic dressing. Despite peculiarly including pieces of heart shaped waffle, this could still win a couple of applauses. Alas, I can never be one of them.
Scramble Me (RM 18) puts their cheese and black pepper sausage on the limelight in this plate simply because they are the only thing outstandingly pleasant to the palate. Baked beans served warm alongside waffles and the salad of the day. Otherwise, a safer choice would be My Omelette (RM 16).You’d have omelette with onions, capsicum, sautéed mushroom, chicken ham chips, served with pancake & salad of the day tossed with balsamic dressing.
Focused mainly on coffee beans, the amount of selection and choices are tremendously exciting and would easily intimidate those with trouble selecting their coffee. With a somewhat tranquil ambiance, The Hub is a perfect for anyone with devotion to artisan coffee.
Coffee is more elaborate than food but it caters well to regulars and those seeking a filling meal to accompany the coffee. Let’s hope that the food menu would improve. Click HERE for more photos.
