Tiger Beer totally nailed it at the recent tiger streets when they bring two chefs from very different gastronomic backgrounds and create the culinary mash-up at the rowdiest street party with fellow foodies at the MH platinum warehouse last month. Featuring the world premier of culinary collaboration of first hawker stand Michelin star and a former executive chef of Michelin starred hotel, guests were treated to a contrast 4 course meal by Hawker Chan and Chef Ramsey. Starting with appetisers by Chef Ramsey, Down the Rabbit Hole here is the creative constructions of an interesting take on our local delight. Laksa injections are beautifully quirky when chef decided to fill tiny pipette tubes with three types of laksa.
chance to taste what has been given so much attention lately. Best of them all, we don’t have to line up for this one here. LOL.
The meat resembles roasted duck, one that is slightly softer. Even the sauce tasted very much alike our usual sweet sauce to go with the roasted duck rice. This roasted chicken is to go with white rice instead of the chicken rice we are all familiar with.
After the signature chicken rice from Hawker Chan, we were delighted to savour a collaboration masterpiece called ’Two Makes a Blossom’, created exclusively for Tiger Streats, featuring sweet and fragrant aroma of rosewater and pear, with honey mousse that enhances the classic taste of flower jelly. Fermented Roselle and its syrup coupled with a mint garnishing topped off this breezy dessert, I must say this is my absolute favourite of the night. The night then continues with a surprise Yee Sang presented in the commencement of Tiger Beer’s Chinese New Year 2017 campaign.
Alongside these wonderful treats were plenty more of hawker stations by renowned food establishments in Malaysia – Tujo Bar-sserie & Grill, Chocha Foodstores, Hoppers, and Inside Scoop, as well as performances by Tiger Jams finalists, Rozella and Son of a Policeman. It was a night to remember. Watch most of it on my snap stories HERE
