Zanmai sushi has got many outlets and they all have long queues. At times, I do feel that it is somewhat a little unacceptable to have to line up just to have a meal you ought to pay. To avoid all that, I recommend the One Mont Kiara outlet as that would be the outlet where there are more seats, and at the same time not having to line up most of the time. I don’t remember why the sudden crave but I miss the Kaisen Nabe and Salmon very much.
The Kaisen Nabe comes with optional Udon and ingredients nicely allocated for one. There is white cabbage, pumpkin slices, rocket leaves, tofu, carrots, onions etc. All these ingredients add more sweetness to the already delightful sweet soup.
On top of that, don’t forget the fresh oysters, prawns and fish slices. All for RM 18.80
It comes with this individual stove to keep the hot pot and soup boiling hot at all time. This makes dinning really enjoyable.
As for my all time favourite, there is the Salmon Maki, and Salmon as well. Priced at RM 4.80 and RM 3.80 each, it would be nice if they can maintain the freshness and hygiene while preparing the dish.
Next is the star of the day, the Salmon Head. With RM 12.80, you get half salmon head grilled with salt. The rich collagen and soft texture with salmon skin that is lightly crunchy and somewhat lightly salted is even more amazing when having a wedge of lemon squeezed over it before consume.
I also had the Caterpillar roll. That is a roll of sushi rice with roasted eel and omelette sushi and topped with avocado. I am not a very big fan of eel but the combination of those eel and tamago in it is amazing.
