Sing Kee Kitchen is vouched by neighborhood patrons to be serving good chicken rice. Being a chicken rice lover like most Malaysians, I find my way there with craving for the roasted pork. Located in Taman Desa with signature dishes like the roast pork and barbeque pork (Char Siew), it was not difficult to locate them.
I asked for the Roasted Chicken and find the chicken rather ordinary, with fried garlic topping when served and lightly flavoured with light soy sauce.
Since they were out of roasted pork during dinner time, I am guessing it must be highly on demand by regular dinners here. I satisfy my pork crave with the Barbeque Pork instead. Thickly sliced and richly glazed with honey
Add on the Kai Choy (sour Chinese Mustard) and I find myself happily drinking the sour gravy in a frenzy pace.
Boiled soups are available depending on the ingredients. In another word, the menu varies daily. The Lotus Root and Peanut Soup is a darling in during hot weather. However I do find the taste a little briny and very overwhelmed with umami flavour.
The rice was nothing close to ambrosial but relatively good. I supposed the fame must have come from the neighboring customers. The meal was pleasant and I am still curious to try the famous roasted pork. I definitely would return for that so follow me closely when I review their signature dish. At the mean time, it was nothing worth a trip to Taman Desa just for this.

The roasted chicken looks good, and i think a good chili sauce decides how good a plate of chicken rice can be
OMG . I so agree, And for me, also the texture of the rice. If they are soft, I can eat alot. Think the Melaka chicken rice balls.
A regular stop for us. The kai choy is indeed a fave!
Next time try the char siew sou and the wantan mee!
Woot! Got recommendation somemore! Must be good. Next time I’ll remember to try that.

Do go there for lunch instead. They are well stocked during that time.
