What’s in season now? ‘Now! In Season Malaysia’ is currently Australian Cherries and Summer Stone Fruits. Yup, this campaign aims to promote various Australian fresh fruits and vegetables at their peak quality and availability. Malaysians should know that we can look forward to more premium quality, healthy and safe Australian produce this year as this new campaign takes off at leading retail outlets.
These seasonal Australia imports grew in the past couple of years is a clear demonstration of the high demand for top quality Australian produce in a very competitive market. And with Now! In Season campaign, it is hoped that it will educate consumers on the seasonality of the commodities, health and nutritional benefits of Australian produce as well as how to select and store the seasonal commodities. The quality soil, continual supply of clean water, strict food safety regulations and innovative farm practices from the country are amongst its horticulture industry’s marks of distinction to promise and warrant top quality. I’ve been enjoying them on with my pancakes.
With participating retailers like the Village Grocer, Jaya Grocer, Aeon, and Isetan KL, getting these seasonal fruits at its freshest is really not much of a hassle. Ongoing now till March is my favourite cherries and summer stone fruits such as plums, nectarines, apricots and peaches.

Also, what await us next is the lovely table grapes that’ll be available from March to May, and citrus fruits such as oranges from August to October.
And for all the green fits out there, Australian vegetables are available throughout the year due to Australia wide production! The campaign launch took place at the renowned Australia name in APW last week and we were treated with clever use of fruits as Chef Brandon Chen demonstrates his genius work.

Coconut Chia Pudding with Apricots and Cherries served with shaved gula Melaka, poached nectarine, cherry compote and granola
