Built with concept orientated around family and togetherness, Kazoku-Ai host diners with warm services and cosy ambiance to welcome group of friends or solo dinners. Being meticulous with the design and interior, you’d find pleasant looking dining tables and chairs along with pretty Japanese goldfishes swimming in a school and gathering at one spot from all over the ceiling and walls of the restaurant.

Occupying the corner lot at this up and coming little enclave of shop lots with many other eateries, Kazoku-Ai diligently offers their diners with choices of indoor or outdoor seats with options of bar stools, or their spotlight nook by the teppanyaki grilling bar where teppanyaki master cooks up delicious dishes. Watch the chef grill and cook the fine and fresh ingredients on the hot plate and redefine the teppanyaki experience we’ve always misunderstood with the different choice of ingredients.

Tuning to better ingredients when serving their grill dishes, they’ve already earned their regular customers despite being newly opened not long ago. And ranging their dishes with a reasonable fare was an advantage for them. The meal for the day begins with starter, fresh Hotate To Yasai No Soitei (sautéed scallops) in whole piece at RM 38 per half dozen.

And cheerfully incorporating good ingredients at the hot plate, came the Yasai okonomiyaki (RM 12) which was a delight especially when serving as a communal dish.

For solo diners, Spaghetti Mentaiko (RM 22) is a real delight, perfectly cooked with cod roe & huge prawns. The clever use of these ingredients was genius. Also good for ala carte order is the all time favourite; the Garlic Fried Rice (Rm 10).

Taking pride in their philosophies to use only the best and selling at the most reasonable price embeds in the culture and name of their brand and is loudly pronounced in their fried tempuras. Tempura Moriawase (RM 28) presents crispy battered assorted vegetables & prawns deep fried in clean oil.

An affordable spot for anyone to enjoy delicious Japanese delights along with substantial range of boozes you really can’t go wrong. Malaysians love Salmon sashimi . While most places sells in either 3 or 5 pieces, Kazoku-Ai serves up to 7 lusciously plump and fresh slices of delights.

And speaking of the love of Malaysian for salmon, good cut of Salmon fillet was pan grilled to perfection and not over cooked, with the skin fried separately for a more pleasurable dining experience. It was indeed a joy to eat them separately. Hats off to their conscientious and thoughtful creativity.
