During the month of Ramadan 2015, TEMPTations Reataurant at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur parades the Malaysian flavours for buka puasa feast with a luxury lineup of delicious choices of typical traditional dishes usually savoured during the fasting month. Indulge in the local flavours, starting with the must have Bubur lambuk which would be serving every evening throughout the fasting month.
For our daily staple, there is the specially prepared assortment of rice such as the Nasi Minyak Berempah, Nasi Buhari, Kheema Pluto and my all time favourite, Nasi Tomato, along with the authentic local selection of kerabu and sambal to pair and not forgetting the array of gulai.
The gulai selection was impressive, with choices if assorted main ingredients like beef, mutton, fish, chicken, seafood, as well as vegetable and fruits. The rich and flavourful gravy in each one of them were pleasantly delightful.
Spoiling yourself with too much lamb is never a good thing but there is always the salad bar and the showcase of very fresh ulam and some cold dishes were a good addition to the buffet line. Tempeh was really good when I had them and I made my way twice to where it is.
Aside of that, seafood made it to the buffet line. Goan Crab Curry and Squid with Dry Chilies and Cashew Nuts with many other varieties of seafood can easily take the seafood lovers to cloud nine.
Their ‘live kitchen’ dishes juicy chicken or beef stays with the classic peanut sauce, along with grilled seafood for the paleo diet lovers. And for the Noddle lovers, Noddle station is offering assorted local favourites from North to South of Malaysia- Laksa Kelantan, Laksa Penang, and laksa Johor. Not forgetting our all time favourite, Nyonya Laksa.
Lastly, the spread didn’t just end there and it’s completed with some selective few of dessert choices; there are fruits, favourite Malaysian delight- ABC, some traditional Malay Kuih and some few cakes and puddings to choose from. And to celebrate the festive, there is the dodol, kuih ros, kuih kapit, kek lapis, and much more. In case anyone is interested, there is also a chocolate fountain if chocolate fondue is your thing.
The buffet is priced at RM 135 nett per person and half price for children from 6 to 12 years old. Early birds will also enjoy great savings is priced at RM 103 nett per person from 18th June to 22nd June and 13 to 16 July. Temptations Buka Pusa Buffet is serving daily from 6.30pm to 1030pm throughout the month of Ramadan.
