What is the best Korean fix in Genting Highlands?

It is super rare of me to have that kimchi crave since it’s almost like a daily staple but when it comes to Korean BBQ pork, prominently quality controlled pork BBQ is down to a small handful of brands. One of it is Palsaik, a top chain from Korea with strict patented technology when it comes to preparation of their meat- including being the first to cook pork to perfection with their patented multidirectional fire control gas-burner. How’s that for a brag factor?

Trying the popular 8 flavoured marinated meat cuts when they first arrived in Malaysia was a great experience but nothing beats the experience of Korean BBQ in a weather above sea level, all the way in the Resort World Genting’s SkyAvenue On a Sundayy night, spacious dining room also filled with hopeful Malaysian diners queuing to get a table. Something I wasn’t able to comprehend- do they not need to work the next day? But the busy restaurant did not take it’s toll on the staff, who efficiently and professionally took our orders and grilling the meats to perfection of gentle charred, tender center and a decent line of buttery fat along one side.

Going with perfect and well-aged pickled vegetables, and mushrooms cooked to delicious crunch, the meal was more than flawless. Not to mention the plethora assortment of unlimited refill of salad wrap, I was crazy happy with the choices of salad leaves. This seriously is as close to how I like my Korean BBQ and what it is like back in Korea- different leaf types for a lovely layer of texture and flavor. Best if there is my absolute favourite, perilla leaves but that wasn’t affecting me as much since they were already serving iceberg lettuce and coral which I happened to love, so I am grateful.

The set comes with a soup which could feed at least 4 pax, and the bubbling cooking paired so perfectly with the unpredictable chilly breeze of this semi outdoor restaurant.

There is plenty of Palsaik Outlets all over but I say this is the best outlet ever!
